3 Things You Can Do To Make Money During Quaratine

Quaratine bod is real..

COVID-19 has shifted the very fabric of reality.

I remember watching the movie Contagion with my favorite actor Matt Damon back in 2011 when I was in college.

The movie gave me a lot of anxiety but when I finished watching it I remember thinking “thank god this isn’t possible”.

Boy was I wrong!

While COVID-19 isn’t nearly as deadly as the virus in Contagion, it has still claimed over half a million lives and cases in the USA continue to spike exponentially.

This has forced restaurants, bars, gyms, churches, schools, and more to close for the foreseeable future.

What’s worse is that over 40 million americans lost their jobs and close to 20 million most likely won’t get their prepandemic job back. Unemployment checks have been nice, especially in California where many people are collecting as much or more than they were at their jobs.

While this is definitely helpful in the short term it won’t last forever. In fact, July 31st most of that money is going bye bye.

So with this extra money and time as well as uncertainty that you will have a job, how can you make money during a pandemic?

1. UberEats, Postmates, DoorDash, GrubHub — Food Delivery

As long as you have a decent car and a reletively clean driving record, you can deliver food and make upwards of $30/hr if you deliver during peak hours in busy cities.

If you’re currently unemployed and collecting unemployment this can be a great way to pay the bills while you look for that next job.

2. Start An Online Business

This is something I can speak from personally as I started a digital marketing Agency in early 2019 while still at my day job.

Digital Marketing Agency

I joined an online program teaching people how to start and scale a digital marketing agency. You can take some of that unemployment money and invest in this program and it will teach you everhthing you need to know. It’s called Agency Hyper Growth and if you’re interested I can connect you with their team.

Whats cool about this is that starting an actual agency requires no money upfront. You just have to form an LLC then the program gives you automation tools to prospect and find clients.

It also has a fufillment team so you actually don’t have to do any of the work or learn marketing!

To put this into perspective. Lets say you land a client that pays you $1500 a month to run Facebook ads for their business. The fufillment team only charges like $400–500 so that means that you would profit about $1000 and you don’t have to do any of the work besides making sure your client is happy. Close a few more of these and you can have real income that allows you to live and travel anywhere in the world.

Ecommerce — Amazon FBA — Shopify — Private Label

There are millions of people all around the world who sell stuff on Amazon. They really make it easy as they have whats called an FBA program.

Ecommerce requires a little more money upfront as you have to buy items in bulk in china then sell for a profit on amazon. There are even courses and programs that teach you how to do it as well as do all the work for you.

If you put in a few hours of work every day and work smart you can be making enough profit to pay your bills!

Create An Online Course

Do you have really awesome skills that you can monetize? Perhaps you are a master at making plant arrangements. Or you are really good at doing makeup, lashes, hair extensions, etc. Whatever that skill is it can easily be monitized.

Theres a site called My Kajabi that makes it SUPER easy to create a course. You literally record yourself talking/teaching and it helps you organize it in an easy to follow program.

You can then take this course and sell it to your Instagram followers, friends, family, etc.

3. Flip Stuff On Craigslist/Facebook Market Place/ OfferUp

This is an easy one. Go to craigslist free section and go pick up a bunch of free stuff that you think might have value. You can also look it up to see how much those items sell for.

  1. Pick it up
  2. Take pictures of it
  3. Upload to Facebook Marketplace and charge for it.

There was a time when I was between jobs and needed money to pay my bills. I flipped a few queen size mattresses and made around $500 in a month. It was pretty cool.

There are other ways to make money during COVID that I won’t mention in this article (OnlyFans, Patreon, Youtube) but definitely use the time and free government money to be creative until you get that next job! For all you know one of these methods can take off and you can be your own boss.

Thanks for reading! :)
